My Grandparents are coming up this summer and we plan on going to the Olympic national park (where we go every time they come up) I want to impress them with my photography skills. How can I take really good photos? I have a Kodak Easy Share C433. I have had it for a year and 4 months. I enjoy taking pictures where ever I go on trips. Its a great camera. Actually its the 1st digital camera I looked at when I went to Walmart. I got it on sale for 109.99 Its regually 150.00 dollar camera.

I find working in dark room more rewarding and I enjoy being able to control the colors, choosing my subjects portrailal by selecting and being able to fade my backgrounds, and black and white photos just seem more dramatic to me when I am able to control all that in my processing technic as well and in the darkroom itself, how do you feel about this? Do you really thing that the computer gives enough options, gives you the ability to really express yourself in the programs we have to work with?

I am intense and superfocused anyway (ADHD), and I used to write for 10 hours non-stop. Now that I’ve been involved in digital photography, I am so into it, and I’m so engrossed, I forget to eat — to the point that if someone asks me whether I ate anything that day, I have to think back and often I realize I haven’t. I also don’t sleep much. I’m good at photography, but that’s a secondary issue at the moment. How do I get control over this compulsion to create my art?

I already looked at these guys: http://www.chicagophoto.org/newweb/index.php and they were FAR too expensive. Any other suggestions? I also looked at the Chicago Park District, but they either don’t have any spots right now, or I have to wait until Sept. 24th to sign up, I wasn’t sure from their website.
