It’s 3-5 pictures. I’m just looking for something around the house or something.

Maybe something like preparing for school / work in the morning. Start with a shot of a clock’s face. Then a shot drinking coffee with a clock in the background. A shot getting dressed, again with a clock visible in the background. A shot going out the door… looking at a watch.

It is called a photo essay.
The best way to do that is to look back at your contacts (or images you have edited (sorted) into your best of your best and look through them to see if any give you some ideas. Make some notes on the subjects and how you want them to interact. Then make a list of what appeals to you, then go out and start shooting.

Why do I get the feeling you are going about this backwards.
Why not look around your daily life and surroundings first, THEN think… Oh this would make a good photo essay instead of starting with the idea of the photo essay and then looking for a subject.
Apart from that comment.. some suggestions
Put a bud in a vase and photograph its opening, blooming and dying sequence over a few days.
Watch a child playing on the floor with a special toy and take a series.
Place some fruit on a plate and over time shoot its decay process.
Shoot the raw ingredients of a special recipe, then a shot of it cooking, then the dished up meal.
These are just MY ideas. The best series will be your own.
