I use iStockphoto.com and you can make money if you’re willing to study the sites needs (istockphoto usually has a list of what they need more of) and you cater to those needs w/ quality photos. It can also take a lot of time and take time to payoff. If you supply multiple sites, you better your odds.

I have about 800 photos freely available form my main photo web site. I *should* make over $1000 from Google Adsense this month (September).
I tried submitting to all the big stock photo web sites - but it was a LOT of work, most got rejected, and the one that got accepted at istockphoto has earned me nothing at all after a few months..

if youre good and have interesting photos? yes you can do good with stock. but its not as easy to do as youd think.. first off, you need to have thousands of photos, and you need to be different, and the pics need to be excellent quality, no noise, perfectly exposed, sharp and colors need to be correct.. good luck!

You should have a unique view of subjects and finishing, like different overlays, crazy angles or color schemes. Also, if you really are serious about making cash, you should invest in your own website to properly display your images.

Why not a small studio on ur garage with just a pc to invest on. Its like foto-me but its you will take th photos. ID pictures are always on the market for one. So why not make it as a sideline with just a small space needed.
